Luke's Gospel in Anindilyakwa has been recorded for use by the Groote Eylandt church.

Editing of the nearly ten hours of audio files is progressing and we hope to have the files available for distribution within a few weeks.

Three women from Groote Eylandt with CMS missionary, Kerry Mclean, travelled to Darwin in October to do the recording. Peter Hacquoil from 'Tracks of the Desert' in Alice Springs was the sound engineer.

Despite the best efforts of the team, two weeks of solid work was not enough to complete the task. Peter had to make a special trip to Groote Eylandt so that corrections and final checks could be done.

When the files are ready, they will used in SABER players as well as being made available on CD and through the Global Recordings website.

This is the first complete book of the Bible recorded in the Anindilyakwa language.
